Promoting the art of the highland bagpipe

Frequently found bombarding Houston and surrounding areas with sound, our members live all around the Bayou City. Our members have been studying the bagpipes for years and are quite prepared to perform for any event you have need, weddings, parades, parties, and even an event to memorialize the passing of a loved one. Our greatest love is piping and performing as a group, and we intend to bring our passion for piping into all we do as a band.

We have weekly practices at The Houston Police Officer’s Union, at 1602 State Street, Houston, Texas, on Tuesday nights at 7 pm.

Instruction program

Bayou City Pipes and Drums (BCPD) is accepting enrollment in our training program. This program is designed to take someone with no experience, to playing with our entry level band in about 1 year. This program is aggressively paced and each class will require a little more time and dedication then the last. The goal of this program is to promote the art at the highest level, make students self sufficient in learning, and have a lot of fun doing it! Learn more.
